College Visits (Questions to ask)

Some of the questions I want to know about colleges when I go...
What percentage of the student body gets involved in the Greek life?
Do the Greeks have their own houses?
When is rush?
Do you need to have your own laptop?
Is there wireless internet around the campus?
Is there free use of washing machines/dryers?
Is there free use of printers around campus?
Does  the school makes use of graduate students as teaching assistants?
If so, in what capacity and how  often they serve?
Does the school provide tutors?
Is there a fee for such additional help?
What's the actual workload as far as number of courses per semester?
What kind of semester schedule is the school on?
Is housing guaranteed all four years?
Do dorm rooms have their own bathrooms?
How is the study abroad system?
Do many students take use of the study abroad system?

Ask the student guide
How does he/she feel walking around the campus at night?
How is the student turnout and spirit at sporting events?
Is the student body diverse or does one type dominate?
What happens on the campus on the weekends?
Does it empty out or is there plenty to do?
Can freshmen have cars and are cars really necessary?
What outstanding professors or courses might the tour guide recommend regardless of a student's major? How easy was it to get the courses he wanted with the professors and at the times he wanted them?
